Nueva poesía indígena en Bolivia: creación indígena en el mundo global

Abstract

El presente estudio analiza la literatura indígena contemporánea en general, y la poesía en particular, a la luz de la producción de cuatro poetas que escriben en el idioma de sus pueblos: aymara y guaraní. Se trata de Elvira Espejo, Clemente Mamani, Mauro Alwa, y Elías Caurey. Su producción se manifiesta a fines del siglo XX y lo que corre del XXI, con la nota común de que todos traducen su obra al castellano, versión que se usa en el presente análisis.

This study analyzes contemporary indigenous literature in general, and poetry in particular, in the light of the production of four poets who write in the language of their peoples: Aymara and Guarani. They are Elvira Espejo, Clemente Mamani, Mauro Alwa, and Elías Caurey. Their production is manifested in the late twentieth century and the current twenty-first century, with the common note that all of them translate their work into Spanish, the version used in this analysis.
