Abstract

El presente número de Estudios Bolivianos presenta artículos que contribuyen -desde la historia y la literatura principalmente- al conocimiento y reflexión de temáticas de gran interés actual. Varios de los artículos inician su análisis a partir de las raíces prehispánicas e hispánicas y los complejos caminos de continuidad y transformación en el mundo contemporáneo. Ritos andinos y concepción del mundo es un análisis de la trascendencia de lo simbólico y lo ritual en el ciclo agrícola, la concepción del tiempo, las enfermedades y otros espacios del imaginario andino y aymara. Plantea un esbozo de líneas teóricas destinadas a la mejor comprensión del comportamiento social y cultural de una buena parte de la población indígena del país y de América.The present number of Bolivian Studies presents articles that contribute - from history and literature mainly - to the knowledge and reflection of topics of great current interest. Several of the articles begin their analysis based on the prehispanic and Hispanic roots and the complex paths of continuity and transformation in the contemporary world. Andean Rites and the conception of the world is an analysis of the transcendence of the symbolic and the ritual in the agricultural cycle, the conception of time, diseases and other spaces of the Andean and Aymara imaginary. It proposes an outline of theoretical lines designed to better understand the social and cultural behavior of a large part of the indigenous population of the country and of America.
