Abstract

El Proyecto Diversidad Cultural e Interculturalidad en Educación Superior en América Latina, del Instituto Internacional de la UNESCO para la Educación Superior en América Latina y el Caribe (UNESCO-IESALC), es un proyecto de investigación orientado a documentar y analizar experiencias de instituciones de educación superior (IES) de América Latina dedicadas a atender necesidades, demandas y propuestas de educación superior de comunidades indígenas y afrodescendientes, así como a sentar bases que permitan formular recomendaciones de políticas en la materia, generar criterios para la producción de estadísticas e indicadores sobre el desarrollo de este campo, identificar temáticas de interés para nuevas investigaciones sobre el tema, y contribuir a desarrollar mecanismos sostenibles de colaboración entre las instituciones estudiadas y otras con intereses semejantesThe Cultural Diversity and Interculturality in Higher Education in Latin America Project, of the UNESCO International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNESCO-IESALC), is a research project aimed at documenting and analyzing experiences of educational institutions Higher Education Institute (IES) in Latin America dedicated to meeting the needs, demands and proposals of higher education of indigenous and Afro-descendant communities, as well as laying the foundations for formulating policy recommendations on the matter, generating criteria for the production of statistics and indicators on the development of this field, identify topics of interest for new research on the subject, and contribute to developing sustainable mechanisms of collaboration between the institutions studied and others with similar interests
