Gestión ambiental : desafíos para una producción sostenible

Abstract

riesgo de ser simplista, me atrevo a afirmar que esta obra acredita un doble mérito: mira hacia adentro hacia afuera de la Argentina. Con un estilo sencillo y accesible, se analiza y se discute críticamente el impacto ambiental de la producción agropecuaria en distintas regiones del país y, al mismo tiempo, se abordan las eventuales implicancias de ese impacto en el mercado internacional. Creo que es la primera vez que me enfrento una obra que intenta capturar la problemática ambiental argentina de una manera integral y detallada. En lo personal, no puedo menos que congratular a los miembros del equipo de CREA, liderado por Gabriel Vázquez Amábile, y a quienes han colaborado con ellos, por otorgarle a la gestión ambiental agropecuaria una dimensión de escala y un marco conceptual que nos ayudará, como país rural, a tomar decisiones científicamente fundadas dentro de un escenario global de creciente incertidumbre.

At the risk of being simplistic, I dare to affirm that this work has a double merit: it looks inside out of Argentina. With a simple and accessible style, the environmental impact of agricultural production in different regions of the country is analyzed and critically discussed and, at the same time, the eventual implications of this impact on the international market are addressed. I think it is the first time that I have faced a work that tries to capture the Argentine environmental problem in a comprehensive and detailed way. Personally, I cannot help but congratulate the members of the CREA team, led by Gabriel Vázquez Amábile, and those who have collaborated with them, for giving agricultural environmental management a scale dimension and a conceptual framework that will help us, as a rural country, to make scientifically based decisions within a global scenario. of growing uncertainty.
