| dc.description | We are pleased to present a new issue of the Journal of Library Science and Information Sciences. We appreciate the cordiality with which the previous numbers have been received and we consider as a good augury the massive contribution of articles that have been sent to us by both the professors and the students of the Career. In the short time elapsed between the departure of the number 8 and the present, at least three important events related to our disciplines in Bolivia have taken place in La Paz: the Paceñas de Bibliotecología 2001 Conference and the International Congress of Library, Documentation and Archivology, and, in a more restricted scope, the Presectorial meeting of the Librarianship Course. These are facts in which our career has had direct participation. But, in addition to them, it should be noted that the Association of Professionals in Information Units and the Association of Librarians of La Paz have been working to establish themselves in a solid manner. In other cities there have also been events of varying importance: courses, workshops and, in particular, the fulfillment of the first five-year period of the creation of the Association of Librarians of Quillacollo. All this constitutes an advance on the road to the consolidation of the librarian profession in Bolivia. We reiterate on this occasion the threefold informative direction that we want to give to this magazine: dissemination of the advances and results of the research, information about the activities of the Career same and organ of expression of concerns of students and teachers. We have the confidence to count on international collaborations in the future. Here is an important correction to the historical data that appear in the previous issue about our Career. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Nos es grato presentar un nuevo número de la Revista de Bibliotecología y Ciencias de la Información. Agradecemos la cordialidad con que se han recibido los anteriores números y consideramos como un buen augurio el aporte masivo de artículos que nos han hecho llegar tanto los profesores como los alumnos de la Carrera. En el corto tiempo transcurrido entre la salida del número 8 y el presente se han producido en La Paz por lo menos tres acontecimientos importantes relacionados con nuestras disciplinas en Bolivia: las Jornadas Paceñas de Bibliotecología 2001 y el Congreso Internacional de Bibliotecología, Documentación y Archivología, y, en un ámbito más restringido, la reunión Presectorial de la Carrera de Bibliotecología. Estos son hechos en que nuestra Carrera ha tenido participación directa. Pero, además de ellos, hay que señalar que el Colegio de Profesionales en Unidades de Información y la Asociación de Bibliotecarios de La Paz vienen trabajando en establecerse de manera sólida. En otras ciudades se han producido también acontecimientos de diversa importancia: cursos, talleres y, en particular, el cumplimiento del primer quinquenio de la creación de la Asociación de Bibliotecarios de Quillacollo. Todo esto constituye un avance en el camino a la consolidación de la profesión bibliotecaria en Bolivia, Reiteramos en esta oportunidad la triple dirección informativa que queremos dar a esta revista: difusión de los avances y resultados de la investigación, información sobre las actividades de la Carrera misma y órgano de expresión de inquietudes de estudiantes y docentes. Abrigamos la confianza de contar en el futuro con colaboraciones internacionales. Quepa aquí una rectificación importante a los datos históricos que aparecen en el número anterior sobre nuestra Carrera. Al informar sobre la progresiva incorporación de niveles académicos, se omitió el nombre del Dr. Ramiro Barrenechea Z., quien jugó papel importante en el apoyo y gestiones para consolidar el nivel de Licenciatura. Finalmente, la proximidad de las fiestas de fin y comienzo de año, nos motivan a desear a nuestros lectores y colaboradores los más grandes éxitos y motivos de felicidad.
