Resumen : This issue consists of nine essays devoted to the understanding of language and the way in which it affects different cultural manifestations, in the understanding that language is one of the human expressions that best symbolizes a different social environment and reality with specificities own. It is, in other words, a series of in-depth analyzes of the relationship between language and social being. These essays on language as a cultural nucleus include toponymic and epistemological approaches, such as that of Roberto Choque Canqui, who proposes the need for nominations of places and peoples not to be limited to their simple denomination but also to inquire about the significant relationships between that nomination and the cultural environment that determines it.
